Hi, this is Mary Jo and I'm your designer. I graduated from Louisiana State University and have been working in the industry ever since.

We love that you have such a sweet cozy little space that has a great wall color and ample closet space. However, we understand that since this is your office, you want to not only make it feel finished but also make it feel a little more femmine. These next few suggestions should help you complete the room and create that dream home office that can also be a get away!

To start, we picked out two different rugs that are bright and have bold patterns. Either one will work, but we thought since the carpet and wall were both solid, adding a pattern to the floor will ground the room and give it color to pull from.

For shelving in the space, we again picked out two options. One is more modern than the other but they both would give you what you need- room to put things. Our thought was to situate them on the wall with the closet- this way it can be easily seen and will balance out the wall that its on. If it's too big, go ahead and put it on the same wall with the doorway. We know that you already have a desk, but in case you wanted an update, we selected one that had lots of organization and would coordinate with the rest of the items in the room.

To give your walls some more interest, we did a couple of things. We picked out a piece of art- that would go on the wall with the door- and a few cork boards. The cork boards are creative and beautiful on their own, but the fact that they are also functional makes them even better. You can use both or pick just one out- you can never have too many places to hang things! We thought that you could put them above your desk so that they would be easy to see when seated.
