Hi Vivian! This is Kacie, your designer. I graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, School of Design and have been working in the industry ever since.

I am so excited to share with you your design for your living room and dining room. I really enjoyed working with you and hope that you love it as much as we do!

Your desired style for your room was contemporary glam. And you shared some beautiful inspiration photos that were a great way to get ideas for the design. What I loved most is that you know exactly what you want this space to be like, and it is a great design vision!

Lets start with the layout of the room. This room is really long and somewhat narrow towards the front. I think the living area works best at the back of the room where itís wider, near the kitchen. At first, I had the dining area in the front, right when you walked in, but that left an awkward gap about 10 feet long between the living and dining area. To solve this problem, we can move the dining table more towards the center of the room, in front of the windows. For the area right by the front door, we can use that as an additional seating area, perfect for reading a book, catching up with a friend, or for a more private conversation spot while entertaining.
